George Wilson goes off the deep end. After finding out that his wife died, George Wilson goes crazy and kills Gatsby. George asks Tom who the owner of the car was, that ran over Myrtle. Since it was Gatsby's car, George assumes that it was Gatsby who has been going behind George's back to be with Myrtle. Tom really got himself out of a pickle with that one. Gatsby, who seems to finally be coming to his senses, is relaxing in his pool for the first time. Finally enjoying himself and living his own life. However just as things seem to be good they go terribly wrong and George kills Gatsby and then immediately kills himself. This is something i certainly did not see coming. The title character of the book dies. Gatsby died empty handed. He didn;t get married to Daisy like he thought he would. Although Gatsby died with his piece of mind that he lost right before he became Jay Gatsby.

Gatsby and Daisy are now murderers. While coming home frantically from Tom and Gatsby's confrontation, Daisy is in a panic. While coming home Daisy is driving Gatsby's car and they hit Myrtle Wilson, Tom's mistress. George also had plans to move out west because of his suspicions of Myrtle cheating on him. With Myrtle now dead, George Wilson could go insane. What could happen now? how will Daisy and Gatsby react? Will they panic? Or will their love carry them to get through this together?

Gatsby seems to be a man of the past. Jay tried so hard to get his love, Daisy, back. Gatsby and Daisy were in love years ago, not now. Time stood still for Jay, but as for Daisy she moved on. She has a husband and kid and a place she calls home. Gatsby thinks he can barge in a takeover at any point in time. Gatsby is somewhat of a spoiled man and can't seem to understand why Daisy doesn't love him even though he is rich and she is wowed by all of his riches. Gatsby still seems to think he can get whatever he wants. Gatsby needs to realize the world does not revolve around him and people have their own lives. Will Gatsby soon realize this? Will Gatsby eventually get the love of his life?

In Chapter 5, we come to find out that Gatsby and Daisy have known and met each other before. We find out that they used to be lovers before Gatsby had to leave to serve in the war. Gatsby asks Nick if he could have Daisy over so that they could try and rekindle the old flame they had way back when. When Daisy comes over things first start out to be very awkward and we see a nervous, un-cool side of Gatsby. However, at the moment we seem to forget that Daisy is married and has children with Tom. This could cause lots of controversy and drama later in the story. Could this end good or bad for Gatsby? Will Gatsby get what he wants like he always does?

Jay Gatsby seems to be a very powerful man. In the beginning of the story it took a very long time for us to finally meet the main character. however, when we do, we find out he is a special kind of guy. Gatsby seems to get his way with everything. Gatsby makes money on sketchy businesses. He also drives around his flashy car and when pulled over, gets out of getting a ticket by flashing some white card to the police officer. The police officer then apologizes to Gatsby for bothering him and on like nothing happens, and Jay is superior compared to the law. Is Gatsby too big for his britches? Jay seems to be a man who always gets what he wants when he wants it. Could this hurt him in the future?

We first meet Gatsby in chapter 3. Jay Gatsby throws this elaborate party in which he invites many interesting people. However, Gatsby doesn't seem to be in sight. All of Gatsby's riches such as his Rolls-Royce or his amazing and well kept library, but Jay seems to be a tough person to spot. With rumors of Gatsby being a murderous Russian spy from the war, Nick feels as if he has to finally meet this mysterious man. Nick finally meets Jay and comes to find out Jay has known him and recognized him for quite some time now because they were in the war together. Gatsby isn't like any of the guests at his party. He does not drink, instead he watches upon his guests. Jay seems to be curious and observant man. Jay knew all about Nick and his time spent in the war while Nick had no idea who he was. Now, Jay is observing all his guests at his party. Almost as if he is studying them. Therefore, I feel as if things are to come. Gatsby seems to be a man who doesn't forget much, a man of the past. Today, focusing on the past is one of the worst things you could do because it seriously effects your future. This could make for a lot of interesting events to come in the story.
